Originally from Wabasha, MN, I always had an interest in mass communications. I started creating my own video productions, posters, and even book cover designs at a very young age.
After high school, I attended Brown Institute and graduated with honors earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Visual Communications.
I started my first job with the Post-Bulletin Company two months after graduating college and stayed there for almost 16 years. My job changed from Ad Layout Artist, to Advertising Graphic Designer, to Art Director of Rochester Magazine. The variety of projects I worked on gave me a vast knowledge of the design needs from small business to large corporations.
I love to design, and hope that my experience and talents can be something I can share with you!
In 2012, I settled in Blooming Prairie after meeting my husband, Jay. Soon after we started a family I decided to leave the Post-Bulletin and Rochester Magazine to begin my career as a freelance artist while I enjoy more time with my family.
We recently bought a small farm and some beef cattle. When I'm not behind my computer, I love to be outside on our farm keeping busy with the animals and witnessing my children get the same kind of childhood my husband and I were blessed with.
Jay and I renovated the old Standard service station on Hwy 218 next to Blooming Prairie. We love all of the stories we hear from the community on their memories of this property and share in their excitement of revitalizing it into an operating business again. Jay and I share the space with our businesses, Eagle Prairie Insurance and Klemmensen Creative. Stop in and see us sometime!
